In response to the declining quality of textiles donations in charity shops, ELT has launched Project Swap. Every week, ELT collects over 25 tonnes of top-grade, reusable clothing, and up until last year , 100% was transported overseas.
More recently, ELT have been supplying some of our our charity shop partners with clothes for resale in their shops. Project Swap offers curated seasonal mixes in 25 kg bags, with selections for Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter. Each bag is filled with high-quality, in-demand items, ready for immediate supply.
This not only supports charities with reliable, high-quality stock but also keeps high-grade textiles within the UK second-hand market, reduces waste and our carbon footprint. Project ‘Swap’ is designed to help charity shops maintain product standards and continue supporting their communities
